Don and Helen's 63rd wedding anniversary
It's not everyone who has had the pleasure of being at their parent's wedding.
Of course, you can make the argument that Don and Helen were not, as a couple, technically my biological parents. Don was my dad but Helen Bork Jones was my stepmother, although I never thought of her that way. She was always my mother. Maybe because she always treated me like her son. And she was for a time by babysitter and used to let me in to the Avon Theater in Decatur for free. How cool is that?!
Happy 63rd anniversary, Mom and Dad!
