Everyone said she was pretty and so very attractive and when Juliette looked at herself in the mirror she certainly saw it every day. And it’s always been that way, of course. But this morning, for the first time, she felt in her heart of hearts, truly pretty. As if no matter what happened to her now she would be that way until the moment she died. And so she was.
